Obstacle
That one was a rush… It hit us just when we came back from recovery from last project. We had 2 days for RnD and then we got the plates. After that it was full throttle till the delivery. So we have done it within 10 days :) From that place I’d like to thank Marek Gajowski who solved all the compo problems and Mateusz Tokarz who did incredible job on incorporating Alembic into our pipeline in such a short notice. If it wasn’t for alembic we wouldn’t be able to shuffle back and forth from Maya to Max to make appropriate smoke / dust explosion sims. Also texturing the cracks wouldn’t happen in time since texturing was made in Maya and I did those cracks in Max.
My responsibilities was:
- smoke / dust explosion – done with FumeFX,
- ground cracks done with RayFire,
- 2 shots with cracks to composit – done with NukeX.
